A short note before you read this page.
Resources
This page is the hub for everything I genuinely use and recommend — books, labs, specific supplements, equipment, and (eventually) physician networks. It is going to stay almost empty until it can be honest.
What I will not do here:
- Recommend a supplement I haven't taken for at least six months
- Recommend a lab I haven't run on myself first
- Recommend a book I haven't actually read
- Take a paid placement from any company in any of the above categories
What I will do here:
- Tell you whether a link is an affiliate link
- Tell you what the product won't do, before I tell you what it will
- Tell you the price honestly, including any discount code I have
- Update or remove a recommendation if I stop using something or change my mind
The categories I'm building this out for, in roughly the order I expect them to fill in:
- Books — the small handful of books on perimenopause, midlife metabolism, and women's longevity that I actually trust
- Labs — specifically the at-home tests that fill the gaps in the standard panel (DUTCH, fasting insulin kits, comprehensive thyroid panels)
- Supplements — the small list (and it is short) that I take and would tell a friend to take, with brand and dose specifics
- Sleep tools — the small handful of equipment items that have actually changed how I sleep at 46
- Strength training — the program and equipment minimum I'd recommend a woman in her 40s start with
- Physician networks — perimenopause-literate clinicians, telehealth and in-person, organized by what they're best at
If you're here looking for a recommendation that isn't on the page yet, the answer is that it isn't on the page yet because I haven't earned the right to recommend it yet. Find me on Instagram if you want to ask me about something specific in the meantime.
